Kieran is a champion for innovative thinking that reshapes global creativity.

His unconventional approach has seen him recognised as the #14 Most Awarded Creative Director in the world - and #1 in Australia - by The Drum in 2024.

His campaign ‘FitChix’ for Honest Eggs Co. was one of the stand-out creative campaigns of 2023 winning Tech Innovation of the Year and the Genius 100 Product of the Year. And most importantly created previously unfathomable growth for the client’s business.

His stellar and proven track record has major gongs from all award shows - including 17 Cannes Lions with Gold Lions in 2018, 2020 and 2023. As well as five Gold One Show Pencils and four D&AD Pencils.

In 2023 VML Australia was ranked No. 1 in APAC by Campaign Brief’s The Work, and the London International Awards awarded the Melbourne office he called home for eight years The Global Agency Of The Year.

Other notable campaigns include; ‘Sip Safe’ and ‘A Future Without Change’ for Monash University, ‘Lost in Translation’ for Royal Australian Navy and ‘The Half Biscuit’ for Legacy/RSA NZ. 

Moroney has also delivered long-term platforms such as the new Navy recruitment platform ‘Live a Story Worth Telling’ and the five-year behavioural change campaign ‘Victoria’s Big Build’ for the Victorian Government’s $90 billion investment in infrastructure projects. He also filed his first innovation patent in 2012 for a promotional bottle cap that doubled as a poker chip.

Ever committed to developing the next generation of creative talent, he recently served two terms as a State Head of AWARD School - Australia’s pre-eminent commercial creativity course. As part of giving back to the industry he helps recognise and promote creative excellence across award juries such as the New York Festivals, Spikes Asia and AWARD Awards.

An avid backcountry fly-fisher, if he’s not spending time with his young family, you’ll find him waist deep in a river.
