So, to prove how free our chickens are at Honest Eggs Co. we designed the world’s first fitness tracker - for a chicken. This device tracks the steps of our chickens as they roam freely around our farms. Their average daily step count is then printed on our eggs to help consumers make an informed decision.
INNOVATION STORY
To accurately track the daily steps of a chicken we needed a device that was symbiotic with the chicken.
So we prototyped and tested multiple devices until we had a lightweight, chicken-friendly piece of innovative technology to records their natural movements.
